Social good starts with you and me

I’ve fed a hungry person.
I’ve seen someone with a sign saying they were homeless and hungry, driven to McDonalds, bought some food and brought it back. I’ve given money to complete strangers who ask for change. I’ve donated clothes for people who need it. I’ve given someone a ride.

I’ve retweeted stuff.
You know the drill. Retweet this message and @soandso will donate a $1 to some good cause. I’ve clicked links, I’ve facebooked shared stuff. I’ve clicked like buttons; all in the name of “Social Good”.

So what.
I’m going to admit something to you: I’ve never given money online for something good. Oh, I’ll help spread the word, but I’ve never forked over even one dollar online for a social good campaign. I’ve never donated money online, until today. In the spirit of an #usguys themed blog post, I became a V.I.P. member of Love Drop.

What’s this LoveDrop?
LoveDrop was founded by Nate St. Pierre and J. Money. These guys are super cool and really care about stuff. I have the honor of seeing Nate on a fairly regular basis and I was able to meet J. Money in Austin at SXSW. Each month they find someone with a big need and then fill it. But that can’t happen without you and me.

Let’s get involved with LoveDrop.
